Don't forget are having virtual event for Día de los Muertos! This means it is more accessible to you since you can join from home without ever leaving 😊.


We will have a virtual workshop on Friday October 30th that will teach you how to make your own pan de muerto for your Día de los Muertos Altar.


Then we will have a workshop on Saturday October 31st that will teach you step by step how to paint your face like a Catrina Calavera!!! Just in time for you to post those Instagram pics to celebrate both Halloween and Día de los Muertos in a bicultural manner.


We are also having a contest for the best altar and the best calavera poem, I hope to see many entries for these! Remember the poems can be either in English or Spanish and you have the opportunity to win cash prizes of either $75, $50, or $25. The altars can be submitted as an individual entry or as a group, so if you have someone in your family that you want to remember you can work together with other family members or friends to enter! The altars can also be dedicated to a movie star, athlete, or anyone who has passed that you wish to remember. The work must be original for both the altars and calavera poems. The winners will be announced on Monday Nov. 2 during our virtual presentation of altars and poems.
